Closed Loop – Supplier to KFC, McDonalds & 7-Eleven
Closed Loop supplied PlasTech with used paper coffee cups from their ‘Simply Cups’ recycling program to blending with plastic waste
PlasTech produced car park bump stops that were successfully trialed at selected KFC, McDonalds and 7-Eleven outlets.
The trail was extended to produce curved sections for use as a curb to replace concrete materials that were breaking up at a problematic ‘Drive Thru’ at KFC Pennant Hill in Sydney
The tightly curved Drive Thru led to cars, trailers and trucks frequently coming into contact with the curb, causing it to fail and having to be replaced every 3-6 months
Damaged sections were then causing damage to the wheels on customer’s vehicles leading to claims against KFC
The PlasTech recycled plastic curb sections were installed in April 2018 and are still in situ in September 2021
Surfrider Foundation Ocean Beach Clean Up – Noosa Qld Surfrider Foundation provided PlasTech with unwashed plastic waste collected from a beach cleanup program near Noosa Qld
The waste plastics were separated, recorded, packed and shipped to PlasTech
PlasTech produced planks from the waste materials and created a park bench that was donated back to the local shire at an official ceremony
CleanWater Group/Parks Victoria - Yarra River Clean Up
The CleanWater Group provided PlasTech with unwashed plastic waste collected from the Yarra River cleanup program in Melbourne Vic.
The waste plastics were separated, recorded, before being baled by PlasTech and transported for processing
PlasTech produced planks from the waste materials to create three park benches that were purchased back by the CleanWater Group and donated to Parks Victoria for installation on the banks of the Yarra River
